Group Interim Chief Financial Officer

Ahmed has been Elsewedy Electric’s Group Chief Internal Audit & Compliance Officer since 2020, boasting over 25 years of international experience in the fields of Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Advisory Services.

Shokry leads the Group’s Internal Audit function that covers the entirety of the Group’s business sectors, working in alignment with the Board’s focus on sustainable growth. He is also responsible for establishing necessary standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the compliance programs in place across the Group are effective in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting any non-compliances with laws and regulations and best in class practices.

Shokry earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration in 1999. He is also a qualified Risk and Internal Audit professional (CIA), and a member of the UK institute of internal auditors, with a successful track record in more than 15 countries, as well as professional experience gained from PWC and EY London for managing assurance and advisory projects focusing on corporate governance, board reporting, controls, and risk management.
